Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Raised Catholic, served as an altar boy, trained under martial-arts legend Moses Powell, then learned to fence well enough to earn a scholarship to SUNY New Paltz. Did strip shows for sororities on campus to pay the bills. Bounced at the biggest clubs in the city. Fought underground bare-knuckle in closed factories for money. That's the underbelly of New York City — and Dante lived it.
In 2006, Patrice O'Neal — arguably the most respected comedic voice of his generation — called on Dante as a creative partner and trusted advisor to build a show together on Sirius XM. The two were cut from the same cloth: unfiltered, unafraid, and years ahead on how men and women actually operate. Dante's edge came from 11 years in the exotic-dancing world — back before OnlyFans made it a side hustle — a front-row education in male/female dynamics no textbook comes close to.
The Black Phillip Show became cult radio. When Patrice died in 2011, the internet kept the recordings alive — and fans demanded more. Dante answered — first as Beige Phillip, then rechristened Man School 202, which hit #15 on iTunes in its first year and has been running ever since.
While building the podcast, Dante was also landing recurring roles in major film and television — The Blacklist, Power, Fringe, Ray Donovan, Ocean's Eight — pulling authentic characters straight from the streets and rooms he actually came from.
